Webinar Replay: Q3 2024 Masterplan Community Update
It’s safe to say that the last year and a half has been a tumultuous experience for people all across the globe. Being separated and missing live events has been tough for everyone. At Zonda we strive to build relational experiences on a personal level and have truly missed being able to interact with you in person. We have been thrilled to welcome back live events, as well as continue to incorporate virtual events to suit everyone’s needs and preferences.
The Builder 100 Leadership Summit kicked off our very first live event in over 18 months! Hosted at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, CA from September 8-10, the conference was abuzz with excitement as 375 attendees enjoyed networking, learning and sharing ideas.
The conference began with a lively discussion from Los Angeles luxury real estate agent Neyshia Go who then surprised the crowd with a beautiful performance of the national anthem. Ali Wolf and Danushka Nanyakkara-Skillington kept the energy up with a fun game-show style discussion masterfully moderated by Tim Sullivan. As Tim presented questions, the pair held up two-sided paddles to show whether they agreed (thumbs up) or disagreed (thumbs down) with the economic forecast, then defended their responses.
After a great variety of informative and thought-provoking discussions, worthy winners were bestowed with the 2021 Builder 100 awards. D.R. Horton won the Biggest Volume Builder award, Davidson Homes won the Biggest Mover award, and Stanley Martin Homes was awarded the coveted Builder of the Year. There were a few misty eyes in the audience as the Hearthstone Builder Humanitarian awards were bestowed upon Ed Burr of GreenPointe Holdings and Sheryl Palmer of Taylor Morrison Homes.
CEO Jeff Meyers brought the wow factor with a surprise nighttime drone show as dozens of drones lit up the Dana Point skyline with a choreographed musical show. The drones buzzed into configurations, including the American flag, the Zonda logo and even spelled out “Builder 100”.
Other notable and insightful content included a CEO power panel followed by a meaningful discussion about the importance of building a diverse team that represents the communities we serve. “Controversy shouldn’t scare you,” said Laura Frazzetta of Beazer Homes.
Later, Jeff unveiled Enterprise, Zonda’s next-generation data platform for homebuilders set to launch in early 2022. Enterprise is a unified product experience. It’s an “easy to use, one-stop platform with real-time data from land ownership, future supply, actively selling developments to existing home activity,” says Lorry Lynn, Executive Vice President of Product.
