John Christian is a Managing Director-Multifamily, Advisory for Zonda Advisory and is based in the Dallas, Texas office. John joined Zonda in 2017 and oversees projects advising clients (private, public, and institutional) on development and investment in all aspects of multifamily housing. His career has included market research in economic development, multifamily construction, and transportation. John has spent most of his career in real estate and has worked in markets nationwide with expertise in rent positioning and market forecasts.
Before joining Zonda, John worked at BNSF Railway where he conducted market research, analyzed competitive threats, managed contracts, and priced the shipment of commodities. Prior to working at the railway, John worked at a private multifamily development company where he conducted market research and pricing for student housing and acquisitions, forecasted rent growth and occupancies for markets nationwide, and was involved in the underwriting of apartment acquisitions.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of North Texas University and a Master of Arts in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
